Prerequisites to Become a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)
1. Hold an Active Microsoft Associate or Expert-Level Certification
To be eligible for the MCT Program, you must have at least one valid Microsoft Associate or Expert-level certification. Fundamental-level certifications such as AZ-900, PL-900, MS-900, SC-900, etc., are not accepted.
- Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200)
- Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
- Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310)
- Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102)
- Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)

2. Instructional Skills Certification (ISCP)
You must complete an Instructional Skills Certification Program (ISCP) from a Microsoft-approved provider such as AtiSunya. This certification verifies your teaching capability and is submitted during your MCT application.
Note: AtiSunya is an Approved ISCP Training Provider at a Global Level and is listed under Microsoft Learn as an official provider for MCT Instructor Readiness Training.
- Instructor-led teaching methodology
- Classroom / Online delivery techniques
- Teach-back sessions with feedback and evaluation
3. Training / Teaching Experience (Recommended)
While not mandatory, prior teaching or technical training delivery experience is beneficial:
- Corporate or academic training experience
- Conducting technical workshops
- Public speaking or mentoring
